Following the family’s relocation from London to rural France, this project involved a full-scope renovation and complete refurbishment. We were tasked with reimagining the interiors from the ground up while preserving the integrity of the original architecture. The home’s grand proportions and inherent symmetry provided a beautiful foundation upon which to layer colour, texture, and pattern. Working closely with the family, we embraced a bold and expressive approach to the interiors. Their eclectic and vibrant art collection played a pivotal role in shaping the design direction with many of the rooms conceived around key pieces. We used these artworks as a springboard to introduce a dynamic palette and considered pattern play, resulting in a space that feels both curated and deeply personal. From architectural detailing and bespoke joinery to sourcing antique furnishings and commissioning custom upholstery, every element was thoughtfully integrated to ensure cohesion and character. The final result is a richly layered, distinctive home full of warmth and personality yet entirely in harmony with its rural French setting.
