Our aim was to not change the architecture of the property but instead, work with as much of the existing architecture, kitchen, and bathrooms as possible. It was such a fun exercise in blending rich layers of fabrics and furniture with the clean lines of the contemporary architecture. We converted the cinema room into a relaxed hangout space, worked around the existing joinery in the spaces by spraying it in joyful colours to bring warmth, and swapped out lighting fixtures, and softened the whole home with rugs, colour, and low-level lighting. The core of the house stayed exactly as it was but the result is a lovely, colourful family home. The perfect London pad for a young family with their three little girls.
